Wynford wins at Beverley

As at Carlisle Becky had Wynford in top shape, he looked fantastic in the parade ring before the race and with Kevin back on board he started the race as 2/1 favourite. Unfortunately the race didn't go as we had hoped as there was very little speed which meant the final 4 furlongs became a sprint finish (not ideal for such a big horse) but he gave it his all and we managed to sneak it on the line. Here is the Racing Post's analysis of the race:

WYNFORD continues on the up and responded well to make it three wins (including one over hurdles) from his last four starts, despite being carried left. He did well given the gallop wasn't overly strong and, as he won't be going up much, he can win again, especially granted a stiffer test of stamina.

Fortunately the members that came got to experience first place in the winners lounge (as winners this time).
