Maid wins again at Nottingham!

Well I am running out of things to say about Maid following another superb race yesterday. She shouldered a 5lb penalty for bouncing back to form last time and against some strong 3yo horses this was always going to be a difficult test. She tracked the favourite (Well Funded) round the course, keeping Maid relaxed and in a good position then Harrison made his move in the final 2 furlongs. The additional weight did seem to have its effect in the final 1/2 furlong with Methag (carrying 1stone 2lb less) catching her but she dug deep and kept on. She's been a revelation in Flat handicaps for us and was tough as teak in the closing stages. The racing post write that :

“she could yet win again before the season ends, especially on soft ground”
