Maid wins stayers final!

Well what a result we had yesterday in the Grass Routes Stayers Final at Nottingham! 

The day started well with the clerk of the course declaring the ground was ok to race and the favourite withdrawing. Given the recent rain the heavy going did provide the perfect conditions for Maid, it was just a question of whether there would be enough speed in the race. Fortunately they went a solid pace in this fair staying handicap and it proved hard work for most. As we know MAID is a dour stayer and handled the race superbly well. Thanks again to Harrison for timing her run perfectly and keep her calm on the way to the start. I think you will all agree that Maid has really come into her own since arriving with Becky. The transition from a 46 rated horse to 74 has been remarkable, it rates a career-best.
