Wynford 2nd Musselburgh

Well what can we say, he definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat when he runs. The race was similar to last time out at Beverley in that it wasn’t run at a fast enough pace (the final time shows this with it being 12.5 seconds slower than normal). The slow speed meant the final straight became a sprint and unfortunately this time he didn’t quite get there. The racing post analysis perfectly summed up our journey and the race:

Wynford has been well and truly turned around by this trainer, doing well to get as close as he did here after being ridden in rear following a slow start, still some 6/7l behind the winner at the top of the straight. He'll go up for not winning but will still be one to be with next time.
