Wynford at Haydock Park

We always knew the step up in Grade would be a challenge especially on such a flat course. As ever Wynford started slowly and found himself at the rear. He was pushed along 4f out and began to get himself into a decent position but the lack of pace in the race meant it became a bit of a sprint when he was ridden 2f out. He is a grafter though and the pleasing thing was he kept on in the final furlong and finished third.

He really is such a wonderful horse but he has had a lot of races this season so we shall review the fixtures with Becky and see if it’s time for him to go on holiday.
