Songkran at Wolverhampton

We are very disappointed with the run last night, especially considering how well he’d run on his previous occasion. George had said that he was working well at home and looked the best he’d been in a while.

Dissecting the run we feel that Mark rode the early part of the race well to get him in a very good position but turning into the home straight Mark appeared to let the two horses in front get away and in a moment the race was essentially lost. The racing post agreed with our analysis :

“Songkran was another who was soon struggling once the leaders picked up the pace turning in.”

We are going to look at getting him out again towards the end of next week and we will have a different jockey on board. Hopefully we will be back in the mix again.
