Mahanakhon Power at Newcastle

MAHANAKHON POWER ran a very solid race on his debut yesterday. Laura did exactly what we asked of her by getting him out early and having a decent position coming into the straight. She did go early and try to stretch the other horses but unfortunately the deep harrowed and decompacted ground got the better of him and he got caught as he entered the final 1/2 furlong but I think you will all agree he gave us a very exciting run.

Becky's comments on the race were :

"The ground was awful but he has shown we have a good basis to build on. He seems very straight forward to deal with and we should have a lot of fun with him. He is one I am really looking forward to getting to know better. As well as the flat we also have a lovely opening low mark over hurdles as well to exploit hopefully over the coming months."
