From Catterick to Dubai!!

What a tremendous performance from Dubai and Connor yesterday. Before the race we didn’t know whether she’d stay the extra 1/2mile and also whether the very testing ground at Catterick would suit her. I think we can safely say we know the answers now. 

The plan was for Connor to ride her at the back away from trouble and at a steady pace and come into the race as we enter the final straight, the plan was executed perfectly. 

The racing post review of the race reads : 

“THAT’S MY DUBAI, taking a big step up in distance, raced slightly detached from the field for much of the early stages but scythed through the pack during the final circuit and found enough for pressure to pick up a first career success on her fourth start for Rebecca Menzies. She appeals as the type who can go in again when next seen.”
